Training Contacts Education & Training at North CronullaHere at North Cronulla Surf Club we consider that in the world of surf lifesaving there is nothing more important than education and training, it is the driving force behind everything we do as a Surf Lifesaving Club. From the Bronze Medallion, which is the first step for all surf lifesavers, to the Gold Medallion, which is recognised internationally and is the highest training for a surf lifesaver, and all the specialties in between. There are many areas of North Cronulla Surf Club that you can choose to be a part of such as Patrolling, Competing, Managing or Instructing and no matter what area you choose to immerse yourself in, there are courses available to ensure that you have the best training so you can enter the North Cronulla Surf Club community in a comfortable, assured way and make some new friends along the way. The Instructional Team of North Cronulla are all volunteers. They come from an assortment of backgrounds and experience and all of whom are trained to the highest standards and quality. They are responsible for all courses held within the club, whether it is holding a Bronze course as an instructor or assembling a specialty class that may include Instructors from other areas and clubs, to the yearly proficiencies which keep surf lifesavers up to date in the latest training. Surf Lifesaving Australias duty statement for patrol members states that "A patrol member must practice the basic principles of prevention, recognition and rescue." And here at North Cronulla surf club that is what our instructors train every surf lifesaver on the beach to do. So no matter what area you choose to join, the Instruction Team will be there from your first day at North Cronulla, through the Bronze Medallion and hopefully the start of a long and happy relationship. Here are some of the training courses that are on offer at North Cronulla.
If you would like some more information on any of the courses that are on offer please contact the surf club on 02 9523 5846. |
